After the earthquake in Japan

I am sure like many other people at the moment you have been amazed and truly concerned about our neighbours in New Zealand, Japan and earlier this year in Victoria and far north Queensland.  Floods, earthquakes and now tsunamis have been our focus.

I was sitting here today musing about things, learning, communicating via twitter and Facebook whilst my favorite person was reading bits and pieces from the Financial Review. I learnt that Billabong which has five stores in Japan have been destroyed according to the Financial Review Friday 18th March 2011.  Now that is an Australian based store; who knows if the Fin Review has got it right however that strikes me as quite likely; the amount of money that is affecting the world due to natural courses at the moment is gob-smacking and well outside the amounts I normally think about.

Valentines Day 2011

So sitting here a year after a posting last year.  This Valentines Day I am watching my man cooking steak sandwiches with salad following with desert of pavlova and fresh fruit.  One word describes this: yummo.  Cold vino to hand and a spare moment to add a posting to my blog.

Well things are improving on the digital recording arena especially if one checks out this latest posting by Dave from iDictate.  Dave continually adds really useful information and I thoroughly enjoy his posts and information.

I often wonder why organisations still use the term ‘dictaphone typing’ for digital transcription.  Change is difficult for many people and the best way is to find out what your target market prefers and understands otherwise the point is lost and the audience is lost.

Hopefully you are all enjoying your evening I am and intend to continually enjoy all evenings.  I wish you all a lovely evening, and a great read thanks to Dave!

Valentines Day 2011

Valentines Day 2011.

Welcome to 2011

Planning on a short break; getting over the silly season with family and friends and work colleagues? Make sure you understand and know your rights.

Myshoprights

Even the most savvy person including myself needs to keep up to date with current shop rights and information on new legislation. MIM Enterprises [the admin support expert] loves to share information especially at this time of year when returning goods after Santa visits.

One scenario that occurs to me when I post on twitter mimvabiz is a saga of can openers. I had two identical can openers both of which were not workable. After spending over 40 minutes of my valuable time attempting to open a can to cook dinner *fail* I decided to engage with fellow twitter people. I had suggestions such as use a slug gun, don’t purchase a tin that requires a can opener and so on. Ultimately, I decided that a solution was required and after much follow up, both on twitter and via email and waiting patiently for around 14 days I am now the owner of a shiny red can opener *drum roll* that works.

Please make sure that when you provide a product or service that it is supplied after quality control measures operate efficiently. This will be the first of numerous postings regarding products and services. Hopefully it might be found useful and inspiring. Should you require an advocate of sorts or an admin support expert feel free to engage my services and/or contact me for information.

In the meantime, enjoy the remainder of the silly season and recharge your batteries, I know I plan to.
